Pixel Power Builds a Platform for the Future of Broadcast Graphics, Playout and Master Control

Pixel Power has announced major enhancements to all of its product lines with the introduction of a new 64-bit hardware architecture and new version 10.0 software for all its systems. The new platform, which will make its first appearance at NAB 2014, will enhance the performance of all Pixel Power hardware products and provide the foundation for future feature enhancements on the company’s product roadmaps.

     
     
 
Belden Announces Successful Completion of Grass Valley Acquisition

Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission critical applications, announced that it has completed the acquisition of the previously announced offer to purchase Grass Valley, a leader within the Broadcast market.
“We are extremely excited to have Grass Valley join the Belden family. By combining Grass Valley and Miranda, we will create the broadcast industry’s largest and most complete portfolio,” said John Stroup, CEO of Belden.

     
     
 
Quantel acquires Snell to create a new force in Media Technology

NBC OLYMPICS’ PRODUCTION OF THE 2014 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES IN SOCHI TO UTILIZE RTS TO PROVIDE COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT AND SUPPORT

RTS has been selected to provide communications equipment and support to NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, during its production of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. AJ-PX500 camcorder by Panasonic

Panasonic have introduced the AJ-PX5000G, the first P2 HD camcorder with native AVC-ULTRA recording and built-in microP2 card slots. This 2/3-type, 2.2M 3-MOS camera combines superb image production and light weight. The AJ-PX5000G features 720p and 1080i recording, as well as 1080/50p recording, a first for P2 HD cameras.

Sony unveils enhanced HD live production solutions at IBC2013

Sony announced a new set of HD live production solutions consisting of four new studio cameras, the HSC-300R/300RF and HSC-100R/100RF plus the MVS-3000A multi-format switcher, at IBC2013. The new additions build on the strengths of Sony’s existing HSC-300 and HXC-100 system cameras, incorporating the latest generation of 2/3-inch Power HAD FX CCDs for high quality image capture with minimal noise.
