Using NewTek Connect Pro to monitor NDI sources from other devices

NewTek Connect Pro can serve a variety of video sources as NDI streams for a video production IP workflow, plus give you quality controls for the video streams it provides. The application’s capabilities go beyond the system on which it is installed, however. BBC Studioworks future-proofs Television Centre with investment in Sony 4K over IP

BBC Studioworks announced it has chosen Sony to deliver 4K over IP in its Television Centre studios at the newly refurbished White City site in Central London. One of three new studios which will sit within a vibrant media-focused site, studio TC1 (10,800 sq ft), will be used by broadcasters and independent production companies to produce content ranging from sitcoms and entertainment shows to large live scale productions.

HDMI Forum Announces Version 2.1 of the HDMI Specification to Support 8K and Dynamic HDR

During CES 2017, the HDMI Forum announced the upcoming release of Version 2.1 of the HDMI Specification. This latest HDMI Specification supports a range of Higher Video Resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, Dynamic HDR, and increased bandwidth with a new 48G cable. Version 2.1 of the HDMI Specification is backward compatible with earlier versions of the Specification, and was developed by the HDMI Forum’s Technical Working Group whose members represent some of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics, personal computers, mobile devices, cables and components.

     
     
 
PHABRIX unveils its latest UHDTV technology for T&M at BVE London

PHABRIX will be demonstrating the V1 release of its latest technology for test and measurement - the PHABRIX Qx on stand L01 at BVE Excel London in February. Designed with a host of specialist instruments for high level testing of UHDTV standards, the Qx will in addition be showing waveforms and vector scope as it looks to provide post production and broadcast industry support for its latest product development.

     
     
 
WION channel launches globally with Dalet Unified News Operations

World Is One News (WION) is the most recent venture to come from India’s broadcast services company Zee Media Corporation. Launched as an international news channel, WION delivers news coverage with a South Asian perspective from around the world to international audiences across the web, mobile devices and TV. It is unusual as an India-based network to have a presence in the UK, US, China, Russia and Africa, making it a convergent, multi-media English news network for South Asian viewers.
