Sony F5 & F55 Discontinued?

Has Sony officially discontinued the F5 and F55? Both cameras were announced in October 2012. Sony Japan and Sony GB have listed both the F5 and F55 as being discontinued, however, Sony USA still has both cameras listed as available.

     
     
 
RTM Installs Six Calrec Type R Radio Consoles

Malaysia’s public broadcaster Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) has installed six Calrec Type R radio consoles at its regional station, PerlisFM, located in the northern Perlis state of the country. With the studio upgrade and move to an IP audio environment, RTM says the facility will serve as reference for all of its future upgrades to other regional stations.

     
     
 
Radio Llavaneres Updates Studio With AEQ

Radio Llavaneres is San Andreu de Llavaneres’ local radio station. It broadcasts a variety of music, news and sports programs, with a regional focus, on FM and online. Dome Productions chooses Calrec Apollo console for new SMPTE 2110 UHD OB truck

Canada-based Dome Productions has unveiled a new all-IP SMPTE 2110 OB mobile unit. Called Gateway, the truck is Dome’s first large scale, all IP, UHD/HDR unit and is currently being used for TSN and Rogers SportsNet on their hockey broadcasts. The deal has been managed by Calrec’s Canadian partner SC Media.
