ATEME enables ATSC mux density increase using High-Efficiency MPEG2

Leader Announces New Options for LV7390 Multi-format Rasterizer

Leader Instruments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leader Electronics Corporation, Yokohama, Japan, announces two new options for its LV7390 rasterizer. These comprise full 4K signal measurement capability plus a plug-in digital audio module providing up to 16 channels of de-embedded SDI audio which can be viewed on screen and output as discrete AES3 feeds. Sound Devices: firmware version 2.30 offers important enhancements to rack-mount video and audio recorders.

Sound Devices, LLC, announces firmware version 2.30 for its full line of rack-mount recording solutions, including the Video Devices PIX 270i, PIX 260i, and PIX 250i video recorders, and the Sound Devices 970 audio recorder. FUJIFILM Corporation has been awarded the distinguished "iF Design Award 2016"

FUJIFILM received the award for its premium 4K UHD broadcast zoom lens “FUJINON UA80x9” which boasts optical performance compatible with 4K cameras. The prestigious “iF Design Award” is an international design award launched in 1953 by the “iF” International Forum Design in Hannover, Germany. It is one of the worlds three most prestigious design awards, alongside Germany’s “Red Dot Design Award” and the United States’ “IDEA Award.” The UA80x9 was selected in recognition of not only exterior design, but also because of its advanced product performance and ease of use.

     
     
 
New ZyLink Bridge allows Zylight users to adjust lights through iPhone

Zylight, a leading manufacturer of innovative, premium LED lighting solutions, will take wireless lighting control to the next level when it introduces the ZyLink Bridge at the 2016 NAB Show (Booth 5049), which runs April 18-21 in Las Vegas, Nev. It works in conjunction with the new ZyLink App to allow precise lighting adjustments for multiple Zylights through an iPhone or iPad.

     
     
 
Video Devices PIX-LR audio interface adds XLR inputs/outputs to the PIX-E series

One of the things that has been missing on many of the recently released external recorders is XLR inputs. The Atomos Shogun has an XLR breakout cable, but it is not without its limitations. The Convergent Design Odyssey series only has a 3.5mm mini jack for audio input. Video Devices has set out to change this and they have just started shipping their PIX-LR audio interface for the PIX-E Series of recording monitors. The PIX-LR is an optional accessory that adds XLR inputs and outputs to the PIX-E5, PIX-E5H, and PIX-E7 monitors. The accessory also incorporates Sound Devices-designed mic preamps, accurate LED metering, and dedicated transport and gain controls.

     
     
 
Ahead of NAB - XenData launches new near-line disk archive system

XenData, the global provider of video archive solutions to the media and entertainment industry, today announced the launch of its new DX-240 near-line disk archive system with continuous backup to LTO-7. It has a network attached storage (NAS) architecture, storing files on high performance RAID while simultaneously creating a backup copy on LTO-7 cartridges.
